Cittern player Carol Coronis and her band will be performing a spiced-up blend of  Middle Eastern-Celtic-Folk-Rock music at Elysium Arts Folk Club on Saturday evening, June 9 at 8:00 PM.

The band features local musician extraordinaire Bill Zecker on bass and her brother Chuck Coronis on drums. Carol and Chuck played music together for about ten years in their dad’s

Middle Eastern band, the Charles Coronis Orchestra.  Brother and sister reunited about nine years ago when they performed a set of Middle Eastern music at the Portsmouth Music Hall.

Together with Bill Zecker, they recorded a cd of the Greek and Turkish music they performed with their dad as well as original music and a twist on a Celtic tune. The cd, dedicated to their father, is expected to be released in early fall.
